Dhoom Machaao Dhoom is a Hindi programme aired on Disney Channel India. It premiered on 8th January, 2007, with a 1 hour special introductory episode, which had a song sung by the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L'il Champs winner, Sanchita Bhattacharya.She also perfomed the song Aisa jadoo in the same episode.

Vikrant Massey is an Indian film and television actor. He made his debut on television with Kahaan Hoo MainMicrosoft entourage for mac 2011. in 2004. He then had roles in series such as Dharam Veer, Balika Vadhu, Baba Aiso Varr Dhoondo, and Qubool Hai. His debut film was a brief appearance in Lootera, followed by Dil Dhadakne Do and eventually a supporting cast in Half Girlfriend. He played the protagonist in 2017's critically acclaimed film A Death in the Gunj directed by Konkona Sen Sharma which earned him a Filmfare Awards nomination in the category of Best Actor – Critics.[1] The actor has main roles in the web-seriesMirzapur (2018) and Criminal Justice (2019). Vikrant Massey also worked with Deepika Padukone in acid attack film called Chhapak which is based on acid attack survivor Laxmi Agrawal.

Early life[edit]

Vikrant Massey was born on 3 April 1987, to Jolly and Meena Massey in a Roman Catholic family. Belonging to a middle class family, he was brought up in the city of Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.[2] He has one elder brother named Mohsin Massey. His paternal family follows Christianity.[3]

Massey's educational background consists of attending St. Anthony’s High School in Versova with further studies being completed from R. D. National College of Arts & Science in Bandra, Mumbai. Being a well-trained dancer, he forayed onto stage with small-time dancing and theatre performances at the age of 7. With support and guidance from his teachers and school principal, he took up performing arts as a career choice at quite a young age. During his leisure period, he enjoys traveling, playing cricket and video games.[4]

Massey is also a trained ballet dancer and has worked with Shiamak Davar,[5] and acted as a choreographer on his show Dhoom Machaao Dhoom.[citation needed]

He played the role of Shyam Madan Singh in the television show Balika Vadhu on Colors TV. He starred in Balika Vadhu with his co-star Vibha Anand which was a success. He later played the lead role in Nikhil Sinha & Rakesh Paswan's Baba Aiso Varr Dhoondo on NDTV Imagine as Murli, husband of Bharti.[6] He has also acted in Disney Channel India's Dhoom Machaao Dhoom, Star Plus's Kahaan Hoon Main and the role of Dharam in NDTV Imagine's Dharam Veer.

Vikrant portrayed Ayaan Ahmed Khan, one of the lead roles in Zee TV's series Qubool Hai after replacing Rishabh Sinha.[7]

Massey made his Bollywood debut in Vikramaditya Motwane's Lootera (2013), along with Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha.[8][9]His first lead role was in Konkana Sen Sharma 's debut directorial venture A Death in the Gunj. The film as well as his performance won critical acclaim. Rajeev Masand described his performance as heartfelt one.[10] For this performance he received a nomination for Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor.[11]

He has been a part of various television commercials such as Zatak Deo, Cadbury, FINOLEX LED, Nescafe, Khazana Jewels, Samsung Galaxy, Cornetto and Idea 4G.

Massey has also worked in various web series that include Mirzapur, Broken But Beautiful,[12][13]Criminal Justice an Indian series based on Criminal Justice a British television drama series, adapted for India by Shridhar Raghavan, directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia and Vishal Furia[14] and Made In Heaven a webseries on two wedding planners in Delhi running an agency named Made in Heaven.[15]

As of September 2019, the young actor will be seen opposite Deepika Padukone in; – Meghna Gulzar's next Chhapaak.[16] – and Ginny Weds Sunny opposite Yami Gautam, a film directed by debutant Puneet Khanna and produced by Vinod Bachchan.[17]

Dhoom Machaao Dhoom(English: Rock Let's Rock) is an Indian musicalcomedy-drama television series aired on Disney Channel India[3] that ran from 8 January 2007 to 10 January 2008 totaling 100 episodes.[1][2] The story revolves around Priyanka Sethi and a band which she formed with her three friends, the Pink Band.[2] The show is one of the first Disney Channel India Original Series.[2][4]

The show is notable for being the debut platform of many actors who later went to have a successful acting career like Sriti Jha,[5]Kinshuk Mahajan,[6]Toral Rasputra,[7]Maanvi Gagroo,[8]Vikrant Massey[9] and Jay Bhanushali.[10]

Plot[edit]

Priyanka Sethi returns to Delhi from New York with her mother after her parents divorce and has trouble adjusting in her new school. Priyanka, who sings, composes and plays guitar, often spends time in the music room of her school where she befriends three unlikely people: Malini who plays keyboards secretly due to her conservative father's opposition to music, Bikki, an extrovert Punjabi girl who plays tambourine and Kajal, a hot-headed rebellious girl who plays drums. The four of them create a band of their own, called Pink Band and try to break the stereotypes regarding music, bands and norm of society and soon become idols loved by other girls.[4]

The queen bee of the school, Koel, is jealous of them and leaves no stone unturned to sabotage the band. Despite all odds, the band sticks together, and the story shows how they achieve international fame with their will and music.[4]
